Sliding Door & Window Glass Replacement in Boca Raton

Glass-only replacement for sliding doors, patio doors, windows and impact glass in Boca Raton homes and condos.

Glass Replacement in Boca Raton

A cracked patio door pane, a sliding door that’s gone foggy between the glass, or an impact panel with a spiderweb crack doesn’t usually mean you need a new door. In most Boca Raton homes and condos we replace just the glass in the existing frame, which is faster, costs less and usually needs no permit.

We replace sliding door, patio door and window glass throughout Boca Raton, from the beachfront condos along A1A and the Intracoastal to the gated communities of West Boca, and in nearby Highland Beach, Delray Beach and Deerfield Beach. Boca Raton is served from our Palm Beach County offices, headquartered in Riviera Beach. Estimates are free, and our hours are Mon–Fri 8am–5pm, with Saturdays available by request.

Glass Replacement for Boca Raton Homes

Boca Raton has a little of everything: oceanfront and Intracoastal high-rise condos, gated golf communities out west, and established single-family neighborhoods that still have their original sliding doors. The glass problems we see tend to follow the type of home.

  • High-rise and mid-rise condos: large impact sliders facing the ocean or the Intracoastal, where wind, sun and salt air put constant stress on the glass and its seals.
  • Gated and golf communities: patio doors and pool-facing sliders, often with insulated (double-pane) glass that has fogged after years of Florida heat.
  • Older homes: single-pane plate glass in original doors and windows, which we usually recommend replacing with tempered safety glass.

Salt air near the beach also wears on the frames, rollers and tracks that hold the glass. When we measure, we check those too, so you know whether a glass-only repair will last.

Glass-Only Replacement in the Existing Frame

Replacing the glass instead of the whole door or window is the core of what we do. For a sliding or patio door, we remove the panel, install a new glass unit in the existing frame, reseal it and rehang the door.

  • Sliding and patio door glass: tempered, insulated (double-pane) and impact.
  • Window glass: broken or fogged panes replaced without removing the window.
  • Foggy glass: a failed double-pane seal can’t be cleaned, so we replace the sealed glass unit.
  • Tempered vs plate glass: the Florida Building Code requires tempered safety glass in hazardous locations, such as doors and glass next to doors. We’ll tell you if yours falls under that rule.
  • French doors: some are built so the glass can’t be removed cleanly, and we’ll tell you up front if yours is one of them.

If the frame is past saving, we can quote a new impact sliding door instead.

Cracked impact glass still held in a sliding glass door frame

Patio Door and Impact Glass in Boca Raton

Two jobs come up again and again in Boca Raton: patio door glass and impact glass.

Patio doors. Most sliding patio doors use tempered or insulated glass. If one pane is cracked or fogged, we replace just that glass unit and leave the frame, track and other panels in place. If the rollers are also worn, we can replace them in the same visit.

Impact doors and windows. Laminated impact glass is designed to crack without falling out, so a broken impact pane can look alarming while still holding. In most cases we can replace just the impact glass in the existing frame. If the frame is damaged or the product can’t be reglazed, we’ll quote a new impact door or window.

Condos and HOAs. We work with building management on elevator reservations, work hours, parking and gate access, and can provide a certificate of insurance for your association. Tell us your building’s rules when you book and we’ll plan around them.

What Does Glass Replacement Cost in Boca Raton?

Glass pricing depends on the size, the type of glass and the door or window it goes in, so we quote every job after measuring.

  • A small tempered door lite usually runs a few hundred dollars for the glass.
  • Insulated (double-pane), impact and specialty glass cost considerably more.
  • Large impact sliders and condo access (elevators, loading rules) can add to the job.
  • Replacing just the glass is almost always cheaper and faster than a new door or window.
