Glass Replacement in Orlando
Broken sliding door glass, a cracked window pane or double-pane glass that’s gone foggy can usually be fixed without replacing the door or window. We replace just the glass in the existing frame, which is faster, costs less and usually needs no permit.
We replace door and window glass throughout Orlando and in nearby Winter Park, Kissimmee, Winter Garden and Clermont. Our offices are in Palm Beach County and on the Treasure Coast, and we also serve Central Florida. We’re in the Orlando area every week, often more than once a week, so estimates are usually about a week out.
Our hours are Mon–Fri 8am–5pm, with Saturdays available by request.

Glass Replacement for Orlando Homes
Orlando’s housing ranges from older block homes in established neighborhoods near downtown to newer subdivisions on the edges of the city, with plenty of townhomes and rentals in between. The glass in each tends to fail in different ways.
- Older homes: original single-pane plate glass in sliding doors and windows. When it breaks, we usually recommend replacing it with tempered safety glass.
- Newer subdivisions: insulated (double-pane) sliders and windows whose seals start to fail after years of heat, leaving the glass foggy.
- Rentals and investment homes: broken sliding door glass between tenants, where a clean glass-only repair gets the unit ready again.
Central Florida summers are long and hot, and afternoon storms bring strong gusts. Constant heat is hard on the seals in double-pane glass, and a door that slams in the wind can crack a pane that was already under stress.

Broken Sliding Door Glass and Foggy Insulated Glass
Broken sliding door glass. Tempered glass shatters into small pieces when it breaks, while older plate glass breaks into sharp shards. We’ll help you make the opening safe, measure for replacement and order the right glass. When it arrives, we install it in the existing panel and rehang the door.
Foggy insulated glass. Haze or moisture between the panes means the seal has failed. It can’t be cleaned, and the glass loses most of its insulating value, which matters in an Orlando summer. We replace just the sealed glass unit in the existing frame.
We also replace impact glass in the existing frame where the product can be reglazed, and we’ll tell you up front if a French door is built so its glass can’t be removed cleanly.

Glass-Only Replacement for Owners and Landlords
For most Orlando homeowners and landlords, glass-only replacement is the better value. The frame, track and screen stay in place, and only the glass unit is replaced.
- Sliding and patio door glass: tempered, insulated and impact
- Window glass replaced without removing the window
- Plate glass upgraded to tempered where the Florida Building Code requires it, such as doors and glass next to doors
- Roller and track repair in the same visit if the door is also hard to slide
Landlords and property managers can book the estimate and receive the written quote directly, and we’ll arrange access with you or your tenant. If a door is past saving, we’ll tell you. In Orlando we currently do glass replacement only, not new door or window installations.
What Does Glass Replacement Cost in Orlando?
Glass pricing depends on the size, the type of glass and the door or window it goes in, so we quote every job after measuring.
- A small tempered door lite usually runs a few hundred dollars for the glass.
- Insulated (double-pane), impact and specialty glass cost considerably more.
- Plate glass can be cheaper for small pieces, but we recommend tempered for larger panes and doors.
- Replacing just the glass is almost always cheaper and faster than a new door or window.
