Frameless Shower Doors in The Villages

Custom shower glass for homes in The Villages: walk-in and low-threshold enclosures, seat layouts and easy-clean frameless glass.

Shower Glass Installation in The Villages

The Villages is one of the largest 55+ communities in the country, spread across Sumter, Lake and Marion counties, with neighborhoods built around Spanish Springs, Lake Sumter Landing and Brownwood. Many homeowners there are updating a bathroom so it is easier to use for years to come, with a shower that is easier to step into, safer to use and easier to keep clean. A custom frameless enclosure handles all three.

We install custom shower doors and frameless shower glass in The Villages and the surrounding area. Our offices are in Palm Beach County and on the Treasure Coast, and we also serve Central Florida. We’re in The Villages area every week, and more than once a week when it’s busy, so estimates are usually about a week out.

Every shower is made for your bathroom. We measure the finished opening, help you choose glass and hardware, have the glass cut and tempered to fit, and a two-person crew installs it in one visit.

What Does Custom Shower Glass Cost in The Villages?

Most frameless showers we install
$900–$2,500
free, itemized written estimate

Most frameless shower doors and enclosures we install run $900 to $2,500. A single door with a fixed panel is at the low end. Larger walk-in enclosures, corner layouts with a seat, and neo-angle showers are at the high end. Taking out an old framed door and cleaning up the old caulk is part of the quote, and every estimate is free and written out line by line.

Shower Doors for Homes in The Villages

These are the questions we hear most from homeowners in The Villages when they plan a new shower.

Walk-in and low-threshold showers

Frameless glass works well with low curbs and with curbless (zero-entry) showers, where there is no step at all. The glass, sweeps and seals are set up for your layout and shower head position to keep water in. Lowering a curb or building a curbless floor is tile and floor work, so it has to be done by your contractor before we measure.

Room for a seat

If your shower has a built-in bench, we cut and notch the glass around it, like our 90° enclosure with seat. The bench itself is part of the tile work and is finished before we measure. A seat in a frameless enclosure keeps the open, all-glass look while making the shower more comfortable to use.

Safety glass and solid hardware

Every panel is tempered safety glass, 3/8" or 7/16" thick, which is much stronger than regular glass and breaks into small, blunt pieces instead of sharp shards. A glass door handle is not a grab bar, though. If you want grab bars, have your contractor install them into the wall framing before we measure, and we'll plan the glass around them.

Easy to keep clean

With no frame tracks to scrub, a frameless enclosure is the easiest kind of shower to clean. You can also have a protective coating applied at the factory when the glass is ordered, which helps water bead off. It has to be chosen at the estimate because it can't be added later.

How Shower Glass Installation Works in The Villages

From the first call to a finished shower, the process looks like this.

1. Finish the tile and any curb work first. We don’t do tile, so new tile, a lower curb, a curbless floor or a built-in bench has to be finished before we measure. If the tile changes after we measure, the glass may not fit.
2. Free estimate in your home. We measure the finished opening, check the walls and curb for square and plumb, and help you choose glass, hardware and an optional factory coating. You get a written, itemized quote.
3. Custom glass is made. Your glass is cut and tempered to your measurements, usually about 1–2 weeks after the deposit.
4. Installed in one visit. A two-person crew installs your shower, usually in about 2–4 hours, seals it and tells you when it’s ready to use.
