Revive Your Sliding Glass Doors For a Smooth Slide, Every Time
Tired of fighting a sliding door that sticks, grinds, or won’t lock? Complete Sliding Doors has spent 20 years getting Florida’s sliding glass doors gliding like new. Every job starts with a full inspection of the tracks, header, rollers, and hardware, so we fix the actual cause, not just the symptom. Most repairs are done in a single visit, and every repair is backed by our warranty. You get smooth, secure operation without the cost of a new door.

Signs Your Sliding Door Needs Repair
- Grinding, scraping, or squeaking when you open it
- It takes real effort, or two hands, to slide
- The door wobbles, jumps, or has come off the track
- The lock won’t line up or latch
- Drafts, whistling, or water coming in around the door
- Visible rust on the track or rollers
- Cracked or foggy glass
Worn rollers left too long can damage the track, turning a simple repair into a bigger one. Fixing problems early is almost always cheaper.
Common Sliding Glass Door Problems We Fix
This is typically caused by worn-out rollers, corroded tracks, or debris buildup. Replacing the rollers and resurfacing/cleaning the track usually fixes it.

In most cases, only the active sliding panel needs repair.

What Does Sliding Door Repair Cost?
Our minimum service charge is $150. Most sliding glass door repairs in Florida fall between $150 and $1,200. Where yours lands depends on the door’s size, whether it’s impact-rated, the parts needed, and the extent of any damage. Roller and track repairs are our most common jobs and cost far less than replacing the door. Your estimate is always free and given before any work begins.

Roller Replacement Options for a Smoother, Longer-Lasting Glide
The right rollers depend on your door’s size and weight, how often you use it, and how close you are to the ocean. Your technician will recommend the best fit. Here’s how the options compare.
Wheel Configuration
- Single wheel rollers use one wheel per assembly. They’re a cost-effective choice for standard-weight doors.
- Tandem rollers use two wheels per assembly, which spreads the door’s weight for a smoother glide and longer life. They’re the best choice for heavy impact doors and oversized panels.
Roller Material
- Regular steel rollers cost less up front, but they rust in Florida’s moisture and salt air. Over time, a corroding steel roller can fuse to the door frame and eat holes in the aluminum around it. Once that happens, the door usually can’t be repaired and has to be replaced.
- Stainless steel rollers resist corrosion, so they last longer and protect your door’s frame. That’s why we recommend them for most Florida homes. They’re the difference between a repair that lasts and one you’ll be paying for again.
Bearing Type (available on both)
- Open bearings are budget-friendly, but dirt, sand, and moisture can get in, so they tend to rust and wear out faster in Florida.
- Sealed bearings are shielded from debris and salt air, so they glide smoother and last longer. We recommend them for coastal homes.

Sliding Door Locks, Handles & Security Upgrades
A door that won’t lock is a security risk. The cause is often worn rollers or misalignment keeping the latch from catching, so we check the whole door before replacing hardware. We repair and replace mortise locks, handle sets, keepers, and latches, and we install security upgrades.
Security upgrades we install include:
- Security Bar Lock: Two aluminum tubes, one sliding inside the other, with a locking collar that sets the bar’s length to block forced entry.
- Double Bolt Lock: Anchors the door to the frame so it can’t be lifted off the track. It can supplement or replace your standard lock.
- Sash Locks (windows): A cam-action latch draws the sashes together for a tight seal.
Damaged Track & Header Repair
Our Warranty
Every repair comes with a 1-year standard warranty. Extended warranties of up to 10 years are available on select repairs, depending on the parts used and your door’s condition. Your technician will walk you through the options at your estimate. For beachfront and seasonal properties, warranty terms may vary due to salt exposure and long periods without use. We’ll always explain your coverage before any work begins.

Whether you’re dealing with cracks, fogged panels, or starburst patterns, our expert technicians provide precise, efficient replacements using top-grade materials. We can source different glass colors to suit your project, though matching existing glass exactly can be challenging. Impact Sliding Glass Door Repair
Impact sliding doors are built to withstand tough conditions, but their heavy design and building settlement can cause them to become pinched or stuck, making everyday use a challenge. These doors are more labor-intensive to repair and carry a higher risk of glass breakage during service, which can drive up repair costs. At Complete Sliding Doors, our expert technicians are equipped to handle these complexities safely and efficiently. We employ precision techniques and specialized tools to manage the added weight and ensure proper alignment. Plus, our excellent warranties provide added peace of mind, compensating for the higher investment required for these critical repairs. Trust us to restore your impact sliding doors to peak performance with the expertise and care you deserve.

Repair or Replace?
Most sliding doors can be repaired for a fraction of the cost of a new one. If the frame is solid, worn rollers, damaged tracks, failed locks, and even foggy glass can usually be fixed. Replacement makes sense when the frame is badly damaged or corroded, or when you want to upgrade to a new impact-rated system. Either way, you’ll get an honest recommendation.
